Equine and Rider Physiotherapist

Anya graduated from the University of Winchester in 2022 with a first-class degree in
physiotherapy before completing a postgraduate diploma in veterinary physiotherapy
at Hartpury University. As a Category A member of the Association of Chartered
Physiotherapists in Animal Therapy (ACPAT), she combines expertise in both human
and animal physiotherapy, ensuring high-quality, evidence-based care tailored to the
needs of both horse and rider.

Before qualifying as a physiotherapist, Anya spent over four years working at DLS
Showjumping and has since been based at several other high-level competition
yards. This experience has given her first-hand insight into the management,
training, and rehabilitation of elite performance horses, along with a deep
understanding of the physical demands of equestrian sport.

Anya has gained valuable experience in the NHS and LGAP Physiotherapy in the
New Forest, applying evidence-based practice to enhance musculoskeletal function,
injury prevention, and rehabilitation strategies.

Anya remains actively involved in the equestrian world, continuing to ride and care
for her own show jumpers. She is passionate about taking a holistic approach to support
both horses and riders in achieving their goals and maximising their potential.
